Field Service Representative | GE Canada | Thunder Bay, Ontario

In this role, the Field Engineer will be responsible for
meeting the daily service repair needs of Diagnostic Imaging equipment
and driving customer satisfaction through Service Excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoots, performs corrective and preventive maintenance on Diagnostic Imaging equipment to ensure proper operating condition and minimal downtime.
- Daily responsibilities include providing technical service (emergency, remedial, and preventative), screening, documenting service calls, and analyzing service history.
- Managing repair parts cycle times maintaining customer service logs and internal service records.
- Maintain daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.
- Maintaining tools and test equipment properly and ensuring they are calibrated.
- Meeting Health Human Services, and Environment Health and Safety requirements.
- Managing vendors service delivery processes in compliance with GE Healthcare policies.
- Participating in sales opportunities such as contract renewals and assist with promoting and implementing revenue programs.
- Integrate into the hospital culture and work in conjunction with existing hospital resources to optimize the service delivery process for equipment covered under our Maintenance Service and Strategic Alliance Agreements.
- Develop an advisory and consultative role with your primary assigned hospitals.
- Liaison with local Field Customer Team and Account Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/Biomedical Engineering or Electrical Engineering/Biomedical Engineering Technology Diploma, equivalent military education, or Associates Degree with a minimum 2 years experience servicing electronic equipment.
- 2-5 years in hospital-based or Field Service environment an asset.
- Excellent customer service skills, demonstrated customer contact/empathy/service experience.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy to understand manner.
- Proven technical and troubleshooting skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and organizational skills.
- Boundaryless behaviour able to work with a diverse team across multiple functions.
- Strong ability to execute independent judgment in support of a team.
- An ability to work independently of direct supervision.
- Experience responding to customer concerns.
- Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution based service process.
- Willingness to travel
- Must have a valid driver's license.
Desired
- Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical,
electromechanical,
and/or electronic equipment in the Healthcare Industry.
- Change agent and process oriented.
- Six Sigma, CAP, Facilitation, project management experience.
- Green Belt Trained and / or Certified.
- Experience servicing GEHC diagnostic imaging equipment.
- Current multi-modality training and experience
